Ultimate Car Mod Vehicle Bodies and Painters Guide

Getting Started with Vehicle Bodies

This guide covers crafting the four standard vehicle bodies in the Ultimate Car Mod—White Sportscar Body, Black SUV Body, Blue Transporter Body, and Big Oak Wood Body—along with the Painter and Yellow Painter tools used for customization. Each body is a single, shaped crafting recipe that produces the frame you will later attach wheels and other components to.

Crafting the Vehicle Bodies

All four bodies follow the same simple principle: place a single block type in the crafting grid to get the corresponding body item. There are no complex patterns or multiple ingredients.

  • White Sportscar Body – Crafted from one White Concrete block. This yields a sleek, light-colored chassis suited for speed-oriented builds.
  • Black SUV Body – Crafted from one Black Concrete block. This produces a darker, heavier frame intended for utility or off-road style vehicles.
  • Blue Transporter Body – Crafted from one Blue Concrete block. This creates a blue frame designed for cargo or passenger transport roles.
  • Big Oak Wood Body – Crafted from one Oak Planks block (not a log). This gives a wooden, rustic body option that stands apart from the concrete-based models.

Remember that the concrete blocks must be the exact color specified—white, black, or blue—and the oak body requires standard planks, not stripped or other wood types.

The Painters and Customization

Once you have a body, the Painter and Yellow Painter are your tools for changing its appearance. These are not applied during the initial body crafting; they are separate items used after a body exists.

  • Painter – The standard painter is crafted with a wooden rod (any rod tagged as wooden) and one white dye. This produces a general-purpose painting tool.
  • Yellow Painter – This variant uses the same wooden rod but replaces the white dye with yellow dye. The result is a painter specifically tinted for yellow applications.

The crafting recipes for both painters are shaped, meaning the rod and dye must be placed in the correct relative positions in the crafting grid. The exact arrangement is not specified, but both ingredients are required in a single crafting action.

Practical Notes on Use

When you craft a body, the result is a finished frame—the painter does not transform one body type into another. Instead, the painter is likely used to recolor or apply finishes to the body after it has been produced. Since only the white and yellow painters are documented, you should assume other colors are not available through these recipes.

For the Big Oak Wood Body, note that it does not use concrete at all. This makes it the only body in this set that relies on a renewable, wood-based resource, which may be easier to obtain early in a playthrough than colored concrete.

Summary of Recipes

All recipes are shaped, so pay attention to ingredient placement. After crafting, you can proceed to add wheels, seats, and other components as required by the mod, but those parts are outside the scope of this guide.
