Passing Down Factors and Using Wishes After Retirement
The main topic of this guide is retiring your Umamusume to pass down its factors and use the wish system. When a soul reaches the end of its training and becomes Fully Fledged, it leaves behind a special item called an Umamusume Wish. These blue crystals carry the hopes and abilities of the original soul, and they are the key to making your next Umamusume stronger from the very start.
What Happens at Retirement
The
Retire Register Lectern is the block used to finish a soul's training. You place the soul there, and the lectern records all of its information. After this, the soul is Fully Fledged, and its growth stops completely. This means no more status increases, no more skill learning, and no further changes of any kind. Because of this, you should only retire a soul after you have raised its ranking as high as possible. The final ranking is determined at this point, and a higher ranking generally means better abilities and a stronger will to carry forward.
There is one strange quirk to note: registering a soul on the lectern may change the outcome of future enchantments. Each registration seems to alter what result you would get from enchanting the same item, but only for the person who made the registration. In the same way, enchanting an item can affect what factors the next retired soul produces. So if you care about specific enchantments or specific inherited traits, you may want to experiment with the order of these actions.
What Is an Umamusume Wish
An Umamusume Wish is produced as a byproduct of retirement. Each wish always contains three kinds of factors: a Status factor shown in blue text, an Extra Attribute factor shown in pink text, and an Inherent Skill factor shown in green text. There may also be other factors displayed in gray, which can relate to skills, ranking, or other unknown aspects. The number of factors and their ratings depend on the soul's final ranking. A higher ranking means the wish is stronger, with more factors and better ratings overall.
How Factor Inheritance Works
The
Three Goddesses Statue is the place where you perform Factor Inheritance. To do this, you need two different Umamusume Wishes. If you only have one wish, or if the two wishes conflict with each other, the inheritance cannot happen. The process is not guaranteed to succeed. It is probabilistic, and the higher the level of the souls involved, the better your chances. Higher levels also increase the number of factors that can be inherited and the likelihood that each one is passed down successfully.
Some factors, especially Extra Attributes and gray factors, may not be fully inherited. There is even a chance that certain factors are lost entirely. However, in practice, it is not rare for a soul to inherit all factors completely. The main benefit of Factor Inheritance is that it can push a new soul beyond the normal limit of what training alone can achieve. This breakthrough is why experienced trainers pay attention to both training and inheritance rather than relying on one alone.
Crafting the Required Blocks
To get started, you need to craft the three key blocks:
Retire Register Lectern: made with a Carat, three Gold Ingots, and a Lectern.
Factor Decomposition Table: made with Paper, a Carat, an Umamusume Spirit, and three stones from the common stone tag.
Factor Research Table: made with a Book, a Carat, an Umamusume Spirit, and three stones from the common stone tag.
Use these blocks to manage your wishes, research factors, and prepare for inheritance. Then take two different wishes to the
Three Goddesses Statue and attempt the inheritance to give your next soul a strong start.
