Umapyoi Progression Guide: Key Items, Foods, Drinks, and Recipes
Core Resources and Carrot Jewels
The main progression items in Umapyoi revolve around Carrot Jewels, special gems carved into the shape of a carrot and favored by the Three Goddesses. While you can offer these jewels directly to the Triple Goddess, this is considered wasteful. Instead, the standard practice is to use Carrot Jewels to synthesize Uma Tickets, which are essential for progression. Some villagers also trade using Carrot Jewels, making this the second most practical use for them. To create a Carrot Jewel, use a 
Carat in a shapeless crafting recipe: combine a food carrot with a diamond gem.
Foods and Taste Preferences
Umamusumes have a strong connection to carrots, and legend says they taught villagers how to grow them. However, becoming an Umamusume changes your taste preferences: you will develop a liking for sweet foods and a dislike for bitter ones. Eating favorite foods, such as cake and honey-based drinks, increases your status. Conversely, eating disliked foods will lower it. To quickly restore Action Pt, trainers developed the "Vital" series drinks. These drinks restore a large amount of Action Pt immediately and can even be used while in a Panicking state. You can purchase them from villages or craft them yourself.
Hachimi Drink
The 
Hachimi Drink is a sweet, honey-based beverage that Umamusumes enjoy. There are two ways to make it:
- Shapeless Crafting: Combine one
Honey Bottle, two 
Sugar, and one 
Water Bucket. - Mixing: Use 250 mb of honey, 500 mb of water, and one unit of sugar.
Hachimi Extreme
For a stronger version, the 
Hachimi Extreme provides a more potent effect. Its recipes are similar but require double the honey:
- Shapeless Crafting: Combine two Honey Bottles, two Sugar, and one Water Bucket.
- Mixing: Use 500 mb of honey, 500 mb of water, and two units of sugar.
Plain Cupcake
The 
Plain Cupcake is a sweet food item that serves as a favorite treat for Umamusumes. It can be prepared through either crafting or mixing:
- Shapeless Crafting: Combine one food carrot, one wheat crop, one egg, one Sugar, and one
Milk Bucket. - Mixing: Use one carrot crop, one wheat crop, one egg, one sugar, and 250 mb of milk.
Royal BitterJuice
There is also a drink called 
Royal BitterJuice. Be warned: it is genuinely bitter and should not be tried unless you are prepared for the taste. Consuming it will likely have negative effects on an Umamusume due to their aversion to bitter flavors.
Practical Progression Tips
- Prioritize crafting Uma Tickets from Carrot Jewels rather than offering them directly.
- Keep a supply of Vital drinks on hand for emergency Action Pt restoration, especially during Panicking.
- Prepare sweet foods like Plain Cupcakes and Hachimi drinks to boost status, but avoid bitter items like Royal BitterJuice.
- Use the mixing method if you have access to a fluid system; otherwise, the shapeless crafting recipes are straightforward and require common ingredients.
