Training Your Umamusume Soul: Statuses, Skills, and Training Blocks
Statuses and Additional Attributes
The Umamusume Soul is defined by five core statuses: Speed, Stamina, Strength, Guts, and Wisdom. These statuses are the primary measure of the Soul's ability, and improving them is the central challenge for any trainer. Speed governs movement rate, Stamina sets the cap for life and hunger, Strength increases melee damage, Guts provides extra armor value, and Wisdom influences both skill learning and the Action Pt cap.
Keep in mind that two different Umamusume Souls with the same status level may perform differently. Each Soul has unique bonuses in certain attributes, reflecting what it originally specialized in. These inherent differences mean you cannot rely on a single training plan for every Soul.
Beyond the five statuses, each Soul has additional attributes: Physique, Telent, Memory, and Action Pt. These cannot be directly raised through training or items. Instead, they improve only through Factor Inheritance. Physique limits how many times the Soul can be trained. Telent determines how many training books it can read. Memory caps the number of skills it can learn. Action Pt controls how many skills the Soul can use within a given period.
The Training Terminal
A Soul that has just regained its light cannot yet show its full power. Until it reaches a state called "Fully Fledged," its inherent strength cannot be fully applied to the user. Training is the process of building up that power in preparation for Full Fledging, which liberates the Soul's complete inner potential.
The most common piece of training equipment is the
Training Terminal. This device accepts up to six support cards at once, and the entire training process runs automatically. To use it, insert your preset support cards, place the Umamusume Soul inside, and start the terminal. It will then handle the training without further input.
Be aware that the Training Terminal cannot be voluntarily canceled once started. If you must stop it, you will need to move the Soul out of the Terminal by force. To craft a
Training Terminal, combine four
Iron Ingots, one
Carat, and a
Crafting Table in a shaped pattern.
Traditional Training Books
Some trainers prefer older methods. You can find old-fashioned trainers in villages, and they will trade for items useful during training. In the past, training was a ritualized practice, but only written records remain. These have been restored into books and scrolls, now known collectively as training books, which are popular in villages.
To use a training book, you must first become an Umamusume before reading it. As you read, you absorb knowledge from the text and increase your ability. However, each book contains only a limited amount of knowledge, so after a certain point, reading it will no longer provide any benefit.
Skill Learning and Support Items
The
Skill Learning Table is used to learn skills. To craft one, combine a
Carat with any bookshelf. Several other crafted items support your training efforts. For example,
Blank Tickets are made from paper, lapis, and a Carat. Combining a Blank Ticket with various cleats or crystals produces support card tickets and Umamusume tickets. You can craft
Race Tickets from emeralds and Blank Tickets, and use them with other materials to build race-related blocks like the
Race Registration Terminal or
Race Selection Lectern. Food items such as
Hachimi Drink,
Hachimi Extreme, and
Plain Cupcake or
Sweet Cupcake can also be crafted using honey, sugar, wheat, eggs, milk, and carrots as needed.
