Visuality: Reforged Overview and Settings Guide

guide

Visuality: Reforged is a Minecraft utility mod that enhances the game with a variety of new particle effects. All of its features are managed through an in-game settings interface rather than through crafting or items. This guide explains what each effect does and how to reach the interface where you can enable or disable them.

Opening the Settings Interface

The mod's options are accessed through its own settings screen. Open this interface to view and adjust every particle feature the mod provides. Once inside, you can toggle individual effects on or off and fine-tune the ones that offer extra controls. If a hotkey is assigned to open the interface, use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu).

Particle Effects and Their Toggles

Each feature below has its own enable/disable control in the settings interface.

  • visuality — The core visual improvement feature. It adds a bunch of new particles to the game. This acts as the umbrella for the particle additions.
  • Slime Blobs Enabled — Turns the slime blob particle effect on or off.
  • Charge Particle Enabled — Turns the charge particle effect on or off.
  • Sparkle Particle Enabled — Turns the sparkle particle effect on or off.
  • Soul Particle Enabled — Turns the soul particle effect on or off.

Water Circles

The waterCircle feature controls water circle particles and includes several adjustable options beyond a simple toggle.

  • Water Circles Enabled — Turns the water circles effect on or off.
  • Water Circles Colored — Controls whether the water circles appear colored.
  • Water Circles Density — Adjusts how dense the water circles are.
  • Water Circles Radius — Adjusts the radius of the water circles.

Hit Particles

The hitParticles feature governs particles that appear on hits.

  • Hit Particles Enabled — Turns the hit particles effect on or off.
  • Hit Particles Entries — Provides the entries list for hit particles, letting you manage which entries are included.

Shiny Armor

The shinyArmor feature adds a shiny particle effect to armor.

  • Shiny Armor Enabled — Turns the shiny armor effect on or off.
  • Shiny Armor Entries — Provides the entries list for shiny armor, letting you manage which entries are included.

Shiny Blocks

The shinyBlocks feature adds a shiny particle effect to blocks.

  • Shiny Blocks Enabled — Turns the shiny blocks effect on or off.
  • Shiny Blocks Entries — Provides the entries list for shiny blocks, letting you manage which entries are included.

Working With Entries Lists

Three features — hitParticles, shinyArmor, and shinyBlocks — include an entries option alongside their enable toggle. These entries lists let you manage which specific entries are covered by that effect. Use the entries control in the settings interface to review and adjust them.

Practical Tips

  • Disable any effect you do not want by switching its Enabled option off in the settings interface.
  • For water circles, adjust Water Circles Density and Water Circles Radius to change how the effect looks, and use Water Circles Colored to control coloring.
  • If a feature seems to apply too broadly or not broadly enough, check its entries list and adjust the entries there.
  • Because all controls live in the mod's settings interface, you can change any of these options at any time without crafting anything.

In short, Visuality: Reforged bundles a set of particle improvements — slime blobs, charge, sparkle, soul, water circles, hit particles, shiny armor, and shiny blocks — into one settings interface where each can be enabled or disabled, with water circles and the entries-based features offering additional adjustments.
