Visuality: Reforged Particle Toggles Guide

guide

Visuality: Reforged adds a collection of visual particle effects that you turn on or off through its interface rather than through crafting or items. This guide covers the toggleable particle effects: Slime Blobs, Charge, Sparkle, and Soul particles.

How Toggling Works

Each of these four effects has its own on/off setting. You enable or disable an effect by switching its corresponding option in the mod's interface. There is nothing to craft and nothing to equip — the setting alone decides whether the effect appears during play.

When an effect is enabled, its particles appear as part of normal gameplay. When it is disabled, that effect stops showing. The four particle effects are independent of each other, so you can run any combination: all four on, all four off, or any mix in between.

The Four Particle Effects

  • Slime Blobs — controls the slime blob particle effect. Turn Slime Blobs Enabled on to show it, or off to hide it.
  • Charge — controls the charge particle effect. Turn Charge Particle Enabled on to show it, or off to hide it.
  • Sparkle — controls the sparkle particle effect. Turn Sparkle Particle Enabled on to show it, or off to hide it.
  • Soul — controls the soul particle effect. Turn Soul Particle Enabled on to show it, or off to hide it.

Each toggle is named after its effect, so you can match the setting to the particles you want without guesswork.

Reaching the Settings

Open the mod's interface to reach these toggles. If the interface is bound to a hotkey, use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu) to open it. Once open, find the toggle for the effect you want and switch it. Changes apply to the effect right away; you do not need to craft anything or restart for the toggle to take effect.

Other Visual Features in the Same Interface

The same interface also holds several other visual features, each with its own settings. They are separate from the four particle toggles above, but they live alongside them.

  • Water Circles — has Water Circles Enabled, plus Water Circles Colored, Water Circles Density, and Water Circles Radius. The enabled setting turns the feature on or off; the other three adjust how the circles look and how many appear.
  • Hit Particles — has Hit Particles Enabled and Hit Particles Entries. The entries setting lets you manage which entries are included.
  • Shiny Armor — has Shiny Armor Enabled and Shiny Armor Entries.
  • Shiny Blocks — has Shiny Blocks Enabled and Shiny Blocks Entries.

Practical Tips

  • Decide which of the four particle effects you actually want visible, then set each toggle to match. Disabling effects you do not need keeps the screen cleaner.
  • Treat the four toggles as separate switches. Changing one does not change the others.
  • If you want to adjust the water circle feature, remember it has its own enabled switch plus color, density, and radius settings.
  • For Hit Particles, Shiny Armor, and Shiny Blocks, the entries setting is where you manage the entries tied to that feature.
  • If you cannot find the interface, check the controls menu and assign a hotkey to the action that opens it, then use that hotkey in game.

Summary

The Slime Blobs, Charge, Sparkle, and Soul particle effects are each controlled by a single enabled toggle in the mod's interface. Switch a toggle on to show that effect and off to hide it. The same interface also offers Water Circles, Hit Particles, Shiny Armor, and Shiny Blocks, each with its own enabled setting and, where listed, entries or appearance options.
