How to Toggle Visuality's Core Particle Effects
Visuality adds a set of small visual improvements to the game by introducing several new particle types. This guide covers the four core particle effects — Slime Blobs, Charge, Sparkle, and Soul — and explains how to switch each one on or off.
Where These Settings Live
All four core particle effects are controlled from the mod's interface rather than from crafting or item use. Each effect has its own toggle entry, and switching a toggle changes whether that particle type appears in the game. There are no recipes involved; you interact with the settings directly.
Slime Blobs
Slime Blobs Enabled is the toggle for the slime blob particle effect. When this option is on, the slime blob particles are active; when it is off, they are not shown. If you want slime-related particles to appear, enable this setting. If you would rather keep the game free of them, leave it disabled.
Charge Particle
Charge Particle Enabled controls the charge particle effect. Turning this option on activates the charge particles, and turning it off deactivates them. Use this toggle whenever you want to add or remove this particular particle type from your visuals.
Sparkle Particle
Sparkle Particle Enabled is the switch for the sparkle particle effect. With the option enabled, sparkle particles are displayed; with it disabled, they are suppressed. This is a straightforward on/off choice, so set it according to whether you want sparkles in your game.
Soul Particle
Soul Particle Enabled governs the soul particle effect. Enabling it turns the soul particles on, while disabling it turns them off. Adjust this toggle to control whether soul particles appear.
Operating the Toggles
Each of the four effects follows the same pattern: a single Enabled option that determines whether that particle type is active. To change any of them, open the mod's interface and flip the corresponding toggle. There is no partial or numeric setting for these four effects — they are either on or off. The mod's other features, such as Water Circles, Hit Particles, Shiny Armor, and Shiny Blocks, have their own separate settings, including entry lists and values like density and radius, but those are distinct from the core particle toggles covered here.
If the mod provides a hotkey for opening its interface, use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu) to reach these options. No specific default key is stated for this action, so assign one yourself in the controls menu if needed.
Quick Reference
- Slime Blobs Enabled — turns the slime blob particle effect on or off.
- Charge Particle Enabled — turns the charge particle effect on or off.
- Sparkle Particle Enabled — turns the sparkle particle effect on or off.
- Soul Particle Enabled — turns the soul particle effect on or off.
Practical Tips
Decide which effects you actually want before changing anything, since each toggle is independent. You can enable one particle type while leaving the others disabled, which lets you fine-tune the amount of visual activity you see. If a particle type feels distracting, disable just that one rather than turning everything off. If you later want it back, re-enable the same toggle.
Because these are simple on/off switches, there is nothing else to configure for the four core effects. Open the interface, find the Enabled option for the particle you have in mind, and set it to your preference. The change takes effect according to the mod's own handling of the setting; no additional steps are required beyond flipping the toggle.
