Using the Stonecutter and Smithing Table Editors in Workstation Recipe Exporter

guide

Workstation Recipe Exporter gives you dedicated editors for several workstation types, including the Stonecutter Recipe Editor and the Smithing Table Recipe Editor, and it can send your finished recipes out as KubeJS scripts.

Stonecutter and Smithing Table editors

The Stonecutter Recipe Editor and the Smithing Table Recipe Editor are two of the editor screens the mod provides. Alongside them you will find the Crafting Recipe Editor, the Furnace Recipe Editor, the Blast Furnace Recipe Editor, and the Smoker Recipe Editor. Each editor is named after the workstation it belongs to, so you pick the screen that matches the recipe you want to build.

The smithing editor includes an nbt input field, which takes NBT data written in JSON format. Its result also has an NBT data field, again in JSON format. Use these fields when the item involved needs extra data attached beyond its basic identity.

The furnace-style editors expose two numeric settings. One is Cooking time (ticks), default: and the other is Experience gained, default:. Each shows its default value next to the label, so you can see what applies if you leave it alone.

Workstation type names

Recipes are identified by workstation type. The available types are:

  • crafting
  • furnace
  • blast_furnace
  • smoker
  • smithing
  • stonecutter

If a type you supply is not recognised, the interface reports Unknown workstation type:. When that happens, compare your value against the list above and correct it.

Exporting and copying

Both export actions are driven by clicking, with a modifier for the clipboard variant.

To write a recipe out to a folder, left click the relevant control. To place the same content on your clipboard instead, hold Ctrl while left clicking.

To write a recipe out as a KubeJS script, left click the relevant control. To copy it to the clipboard rather than saving it, hold Ctrl while left clicking.

If a control you need is bound to a key rather than a click, use the corresponding hotkey and set it in the controls menu.

Suggested workflow

  1. Open the editor that matches your target workstation, such as the Stonecutter Recipe Editor or the Smithing Table Recipe Editor.
  2. Enter the recipe details. For smithing, fill in the nbt input field and the result NBT field using JSON where extra data is needed.
  3. For furnace-family recipes, set Cooking time (ticks), default: and Experience gained, default: if the defaults are not what you want.
  4. Confirm the workstation type against the available list so you do not trigger Unknown workstation type:.
  5. Left click to export to a folder, or Ctrl+left click to copy to the clipboard.
  6. Left click to export to a KubeJS script, or Ctrl+left click to copy that script to the clipboard.

Keep the two export paths separate in your mind: one produces files in a folder, the other produces a KubeJS script, and each has its own click and Ctrl+click behaviour.
