Better End Island Dragon Egg and Bell Sound Settings

guide

YUNG's Better End Island includes a set of configuration options that control the Ender Dragon egg drop, the bell sound played around summoning, and several related End structures. These settings are changed through the mod's interface rather than through crafting or in-game items. Each option below describes what it does and how to operate it.

Dragon Egg Drop

Resummoned Dragon Drops Egg decides whether the Ender Dragon produces an egg each time it is defeated. With this enabled, every defeat yields an egg, including fights that follow a re-summoning. With it disabled, the egg is not guaranteed on later kills.

To change it, open the mod's settings interface and toggle Resummoned Dragon Drops Egg on or off. If the interface exposes a hotkey for opening it, use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu).

Bell Sound Before Summoning

A separate option controls the bell sound. This setting determines whether the bell rings before the Ender Dragon is summoned for the first time, and also during re-summonings. Turning it on keeps the bell cue in both situations; turning it off removes it.

Operate it the same way as the other options: open the settings interface and toggle the bell sound setting. No crafting step is involved.

Vanilla Spawn Platform

Spawn Vanilla Obsidian Platform controls what appears in the End in place of the revamped platform. When enabled, the vanilla obsidian platform spawns instead of the mod's redesigned platform. When disabled, the revamped platform is used.

Toggle Spawn Vanilla Obsidian Platform in the settings interface to switch between the two.

Vanilla End Gateways

Spawn Vanilla End Gateways works the same way for gateways. When enabled, the vanilla End Gateways appear instead of the revamped gateways. When disabled, the mod's redesigned gateways are used.

Toggle Spawn Vanilla End Gateways in the settings interface to make the choice.

Central Tower on World Generation

Spawn Central Tower Initially determines whether the central tower appears in the End when the world is first generated. Enable it to have the tower present from the start; disable it to leave the tower out of initial generation.

Toggle Spawn Central Tower Initially in the settings interface.

Central Tower on Re-summon

Respawn Central Tower on Resummon controls whether the central tower returns when the Ender Dragon is re-summoned. Enable it to have the tower respawn during a re-summon; disable it to keep the tower from coming back at that point.

Toggle Respawn Central Tower on Resummon in the settings interface.

Operating the Settings

All of these options live in the same place and follow the same pattern:

  • Open the mod's settings interface.
  • Find the option by its name, such as Resummoned Dragon Drops Egg or Spawn Vanilla End Gateways.
  • Toggle it on or off to match your preference.
  • If a hotkey is assigned for opening the interface, use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu).

Changes take effect according to when the related event occurs — for example, a dragon defeat, a re-summon, or initial world generation. Review the toggles before starting a fight or generating a new End so the behavior matches what you expect.
