Mastering Zenith Enchanting: From Table Basics to Infusion Endgame
The Core Enchanting Process
In Zenith, enchanting an item at a table costs both experience and Lapis Lazuli, but the results are no longer a simple gamble. The game uses a hidden system to pick which enchantments appear. Each enchantment has a Power Function that determines what level of enchantment becomes available. Once the game knows which enchantments you qualify for, it selects from them randomly, but not evenly—each enchantment has a weight that makes some more common than others.
Your final results depend on a number called your Enchanting Power. This starts from the level you spend at the table. Then, two stats called Quanta and Rectification modify that base number to produce your final Enchanting Power. In general, a higher Enchanting Power unlocks access to stronger enchantment tiers. The exact math is complex, but the practical takeaway is that raw levels alone are no longer enough.
The Five Enchanting Stats
Zenith adds five new stats that come from the blocks placed around your table. Every block that grants a stat will show that bonus directly in its tooltip. The primary stat is Quanta. Each point of Quanta raises your maximum enchanting level by two, but individual blocks can only contribute up to a set cap. Quanta also controls variance. When you enchant, the game picks a random multiplier between one minus your Quanta and one plus your Quanta. It then multiplies your spent level by that value to get your final Enchanting Power. Higher Quanta means a wider possible range, so your results become less consistent—sometimes much stronger, sometimes weaker.
The other stats come from specific block types. Candles increase Quanta, Skulls increase a secondary stat, and Amethyst Clusters increase another. Later in the game, you gain access to more advanced blocks that boost these same stats further.
The Enchanting Seed
Everything random in enchanting is tied to your Enchanting Seed. This seed changes every time you enchant an item at a table. Until the seed changes, all seed-based outcomes stay fixed. For example, which enchantments appear in a given slot is determined by this seed. If you see a good result but lack the levels, you cannot simply re-roll by closing and reopening the table—the seed must change first.
Infusion Enchanting
Infusion Enchanting is a separate crafting method that uses the Enchantment Table. Each infusion recipe takes a single item and requires three stat thresholds. Each threshold usually demands at least a certain value, and sometimes also sets a maximum. Infusion recipes only use the third slot on the table. They also let you spend more experience than you currently have, going into a deficit. To perform an infusion, place the item in the slot. If your stats meet the requirements, the third slot lights up, and clicking it completes the infusion.
Progression Path: Levels 1–30
Reaching level 30 works exactly as it does in the base game: place fifteen Bookshelves around your table. At this stage, you can start boosting your secondary stats. Use Candles for Quanta, Skulls for another stat, and Amethyst Clusters for a third. These are your basic options, but they are enough to get you started.
Progression Path: Levels 30–60
To push past level 30, you need better shelves. For level 45, craft Hellshelves from Nether materials and add them to your setup. If you prefer not to travel to the Nether, you can instead explore the ocean and craft Seashelves. Both work equally well for this step.
Once you hit level 45, you must engage with Infusion Enchanting. Craft additional shelves of the type you already use, then infuse them to upgrade them into better versions. Place these upgraded shelves alongside your originals. This combination pushes your maximum level to 60.
At this tier, you also unlock better stat-boosting options. In addition to the bonuses from Hellshelves or Seashelves, you can now craft Sightshelves to increase one of your secondary stats. If you have a steady supply of Amethyst, you can also build Rectifiers, which further increase your Quanta. With level 60 access and these advanced blocks, you can fine-tune your setup to produce the exact enchantments you want, all the way to the end-game.
