Ad Astra Structures: Villages, Dungeons, and Towers
Ad Astra scatters structures across its worlds, from inhabited villages to loot-bearing dungeons. This guide covers where they generate and what they offer.
Moon structures
The Moon holds inhabited underground Lunarian Village settlements — an alien form of villager with planet-specific trades in space suits and oxygen gear — generating about once per thirty-by-thirty chunk region, with a Lunar Tower nearby on similar spacing. The Moon Dungeon generates roughly once per thirty-two-by-thirty-two chunk region and rewards the trophy globes found at its end.
Other worlds
- Mars Temple is a rare Mars structure, spaced widely at about one attempt per forty-by-forty chunk region.
- Pygro Village and Pygro Tower house the mod's piglin-like inhabitants.
- Venus Bullet generates on Venus.
- Oil Well appears on the dense end of the spacing, about one per twenty-by-twenty chunk region.
Trading and traders
Structures are not the only thing out there. Lunarian Wandering Traders turn up on each moon and planet the mod adds, dealing in rocket parts and even launch pads, which can rescue a trip that has stranded you. Between village trades and dungeon loot, exploring each world is how you gather the planet-specific materials the rocket ladder needs.
Reading the spacing figures
Those numbers are more useful compared against each other than memorised. The Oil Well is the densest thing the mod places, at roughly one per twenty-by-twenty chunk region, which is why fuel is seldom what stalls a run. Lunarian Village and Lunar Tower sit around thirty-by-thirty, the Moon Dungeon near thirty-two-by-thirty-two, and the Mars Temple out at forty-by-forty — rare enough that finding one is worth writing down, because the next is a long way off.
Planning a trip around them
Every world holds its own metal, so the efficient route is to land, work the local structure, and leave with the loot and the ore together. On the Moon that means a village for gear and a dungeon for its trophy globes while you mine desh; on Mars it means the temple while you gather ostrum. Carry a spare launch pad on every trip. A trader can sell you most things, but being on a planet without a pad is what actually strands people.
