Fuel is refined from oil. Collect oil where it spouts over the ocean surface — it is non-renewable, so gather plenty, at least six buckets for a launch and return — then process it in a refinery. Load three buckets of fuel into your rocket before launch.

Use an oxygen loader, which extracts oxygen from water: place water in the machine and collect the oxygen into a gas tank or your space suit. For a whole room, an oxygen distributor fills a sealed area with breathable air using a water source, a water pump and energy.

Each tier is built at the Nasa Workbench from a better metal: the Tier 1 Rocket (steel) reaches the Moon, Tier 2 (desh, mined on the Moon) reaches Mars, Tier 3 (ostrum, from Mars) reaches Venus and Mercury, and Tier 4 (calorite) leaves the solar system for Proxima Centauri.

Steel is made in the Etrionic Blast Furnace, which combines iron and coal to produce one Steel Ingot per iron and coal. Steel is essential for machines and the first rocket.

Energy is the core resource for every machine. Start with a coal generator, then upgrade to a self-reliant solar panel that produces more energy per tick. Move power with steel or faster desh cables, and store it in an energizer or a portable Etrionic Capacitor.

Cryo fuel is a better fuel made in the Cryo Freezer from ice — Ice, Packed Ice, Blue Ice or an Ice Shard each freeze into Cryo Fuel. Beyond fueling, placed cryo fuel damages anything inside it, similar to lava.
