Grinding Ores and Materials with Crushing Wheels, Millstones, and the Crusher
Create offers several mechanical ways to break down ores and materials into more useful forms. Crushing Wheels,
Millstones, and the Crushing and Milling processes each handle different inputs and return different outputs.
Grinding with Crushing Wheels
A pair of Crushing Wheels grinds items very effectively. Their Rotational Input has to make them spin into each other. Items thrown or inserted into the top will get processed, and items can be inserted and picked up through automated means as well.
Grinding with Millstones
Millstones process items by grinding them. They can be powered from the side using cogwheels. Throw or Insert items at the top. After some time, the result can be obtained via Right-click, and the outputs can also be pulled out by automation.
The Crushing Process
Crushing has 211 recipes. It handles ores, raw materials, storage blocks, and other items.

Choosing Between Them
Both Crushing Wheels and
Millstones accept items at the top, and both can be fed and emptied by automated means. The difference lies in their recipes: Crushing covers ores, raw materials, and storage blocks, while Milling covers dyes and similar outputs. Match the machine to the recipe you need, and remember that tagged inputs let a single setup handle many material variants without changes.
