Reading the tier list

Attack damage and speed are the numbers on the tooltip. DPS multiplies them: it is the damage a weapon deals per second when you swing on every full cooldown, before enchantments, crits and abilities. Heavy weapons such as Ceraunus hit hard but slowly, so a faster weapon with a lower number can come out ahead. Click a column heading to rank by it.

Most Cataclysm weapons earn their place through their ability rather than their swing. The last column lists the ability numbers the mod uses: the damage of each special attack and the cooldown before it can be used again. Most boss weapons are unbreakable; the Infernal Forge, Void Forge and Brontes have 2,800 durability, and the Black Steel set, the coral weapons and the Ancient Spear wear out like normal tools.
