Mekanism fusion reactor calculator
How the fusion reactor behaves
The injection rate is how many millibuckets of D-T fuel the reactor burns each tick, always an even number up to 98. Every millibucket releases 10 MJ of heat into the plasma, which passes it to the casing. The casing turns 5% of its conductive heat flow into electricity through its thermocouples. With water pumped in, 30% more of the casing heat boils water into steam for turbines, which runs the casing cooler and adds far more power than the thermocouples lose.
A cold reactor needs a laser pulse to heat its plasma past the ignition temperature; once lit it keeps itself burning as long as fuel keeps coming.
Covers Mekanism Generators 10.7.19 (MC 1.21.1) with the default config.
