How it works

Each higher essence takes four of the one below plus a charge of an Infusion Crystal, so one Supremium Essence is 256 Inferium Essence. A ripe resource crop drops one essence and one seed. On infused farmland each has a 10% chance to double, 20% if the farmland matches the crop's tier; on ordinary farmland there is no bonus at all. Every harvest also has a 10% chance of a Fertilized Essence.

Crops grow one of seven stages when a random tick lands and the growth roll succeeds, which depends on the farmland around them just as for wheat. A Growth Accelerator gives one extra random tick every 9 to 10 seconds, but only to the first crop above it within its range, so accelerators work by stacking a column of them under a single crop: every extra accelerator in reach adds another tick.
