Powah Energy Generation: Generators and Reactors

guide

Powah's core purpose is generating energy, and it offers a generator for every situation plus a scalable reactor. This guide covers how to make power.

Generators

Powah adds several standalone generators, each suited to a different fuel or setting:

  • Furnator — burns solid fuels, like a furnace for energy.
  • Magmator — consumes lava and other hot fluids.
  • Solar Panel — generates from sunlight, no fuel needed.
  • Thermo Generator — produces power from temperature difference.

Each generator comes in the mod's tiers, so a higher-tier crystal and capacitor build a stronger version.

Reactors

For serious output, the Reactor is a multiblock fueled by Uraninite. Uraninite is produced in the Energizing Orb from Uraninite Ore — a normal ore gives five, a dense ore ten, and a poor ore three — or smelted from raw uraninite. Scaling the reactor multiblock and feeding it uraninite gives a continuous high-tier energy source.

Choosing a generator

Early on, a Furnator or Solar Panel covers your needs; as your base grows, the Thermo Generator and the Reactor provide the sustained power that Powah's storage and wireless systems are built to move.

Energizing is the mod's one special process

Powah's recipe list is almost entirely ordinary crafting — 155 recipes on both versions — with a single specialised category: Energizing, at 14 recipes on 1.21.1 and 15 on 1.20.1.

That means the generators themselves are crafted normally, and energizing is reserved for the small set of materials that cannot be. It is a short list worth reading in full early.

Blocks over items

99 blocks against 45 items across 144 pages. Nearly everything in Powah is placed — generators, cables, cells and reactors — with the item side limited to the components that feed them.

Version parity, almost

Crafting is identical at 155 recipes, and smelting and blasting hold one each on both builds. Only energizing differs, by a single recipe.

That makes Powah one of the safest mods on the wiki to follow an older tutorial for: essentially nothing changed between 6.2.10 on 1.21.1 and 5.0.11 on 1.20.1.

Practical order

Build a generator and a cell before any cabling. Since the tiers all use the same crafting system, upgrading later is a matter of material rather than of unlocking new recipes.
