Spartan Weaponry: Getting Started with New Weapon Types
Spartan Weaponry expands Minecraft's combat with a huge range of weapon types, each craftable in every material tier. This guide covers how the mod is organized.
Weapon types
Instead of just a sword, Spartan Weaponry adds over twenty melee weapon classes — including daggers, sabers and rapiers for speed; longswords, katanas and greatswords for balance; battle hammers, warhammers, battleaxes and flanged maces for heavy hits; spears, pikes, halberds, glaives, lances and quarterstaffs for reach; and scythes for sweeping blows. Each fills a different combat role, from fast light blades to slow, hard-hitting two-handers and long-reach polearms.
Every material tier
Every weapon type is available across the full range of materials — wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond and netherite, plus modded metals like Aluminum and Bronze when those mods are present. Weapons are crafted at a table from the material plus sticks, following patterns close to vanilla tools, so you can make the exact weapon and tier you want.
Beyond melee
The mod also adds ranged options — the Longbow and Heavy Crossbow with
Bolt ammunition — plus thrown weapons like the Throwing Knife, Tomahawk, Javelin and Boomerang, and a Quiver to hold your ammo. The weapon-types and ranged guides cover these in more detail.
