Create Crafts and Additions: Bridging Electricity and Kinetics
Create Crafts and Additions extends Create by connecting its rotational (kinetic) power to Forge Energy electricity. This guide covers the components that link the two.
The core converters
Two machines bridge the systems:
Electric Motor — turns Forge Energy into Create's kinetic energy.
Alternator — does the reverse, turning kinetic energy into Forge Energy (at reduced efficiency).
Both are built at Create's Mechanical Crafting from an Andesite Alloy, sheets, a
Capacitor and a
Copper Spool, so a working Create setup is a prerequisite.
Wires and spools
Electricity needs conductors. Craft an
Empty Spool from iron sheets and a rod, then wind wire onto it —
Copper Spool,
Gold Spool or
Electrum Spool from four of the matching wire. Electrum is a new alloy made by mixing gold with silver, used for the higher-grade wiring.
Storing charge
The
Capacitor (zinc and copper sheets with a redstone torch) is the basic energy component, and the
Accumulator (copper rod, capacitors, a brass casing and electrum wire) stores larger amounts. With motors, an alternator, spools and storage, you can move power freely between Create contraptions and any Forge Energy machine.
