Silent Gear material stats

How materials combine

A Silent Gear head, blade or plate can mix several materials. Each stat of the main part is a weighted average of those materials, leaning toward the stronger ones, so one diamond among iron lifts the part more than a straight average would. The harvest tier is the one exception: the part takes the best tier among its materials. Click a column heading to sort by it.

Rods, tips, bindings, grips and the other parts do not average in: they change the finished item. A number with a plus sign is added on top, a percentage raises the value before other bonuses, and × multiplies the total. Tips add their numbers straight to the tool, which is why a diamond tip on a cheap tool is worth so much.

Traits come with a level; when several materials carry the same trait, the part roughly averages their levels, never below 1. A trait with a condition only applies when enough of the part is that material. The final item also gets a synergy bonus or penalty depending on how many different materials it uses, so the finished numbers can differ slightly from the table.
